Ovation Acoustic Guitars

Ovation is a fairly recent arrival in the guitar-making world. They made their first guitar in 1966. They make their guitars available in many colors and many finishes. There are at least 34 of these to choose from. Although all colors and all finishes are not available on all models.

Glen Campbell used to have his show with an Ovation guitar and that is what made the guitar famous and a household name. Ovation Acoustic Guitars was founded by Kaman, an aerospace engineer who used his expertise to make the guitar that would thrust him in the limelight. They developed the round back to guitars when the flat backs were a norm. It revolutionized the industry and gave them quite a boost.

In helicopters they keep working to take vibrations out whereas in guitars they worked on how to put more vibrations in. Ovation Acoustic Guitars brought us the Balladeer as their first guitar
